Industrial Web Redesign

Corporate and Local Websites for a Construction Company

Designing clarity into complex offerings—across countries, content, and business teams.

Problem

The company was looking to improve consistency in how its construction-related products and technical information were presented across different countries. Some divisions had partial websites, while others relied on offline materials.

To support both internal teams and customers more effectively, they aimed to establish a unified structure that could scale regionally and help standardize digital communication and access to key product content.

Research & Stakeholder Insight

As an external designer, I worked closely with commercial teams from Chile, Peru, and other LATAM countries. There were no internal marketing or design teams involved—I supported those functions end-to-end.

We explored how customers typically search for construction solutions and identified three core approaches:

  • By application (e.g., wall, floor)
  • By product type (e.g., adhesives, membranes)
  • By project category (e.g., residential, industrial)

Sales teams also needed an effective way to present product information during meetings and saw value in offering downloadable technical content to generate new leads.

UX Process

I developed an information architecture based on real user logic and cross-country needs. Using Miro and Figma, I created low- and high-fidelity prototypes, organizing navigation around product usage and solution types.

The UI design leveraged an existing design system and was adapted for modularity and clarity. I also led the full implementation of the Chilean site using WordPress—including layout design, content structure, and mobile responsiveness.

Implementation & Results

The corporate-level prototype was well received by stakeholders, but its implementation was paused due to internal prioritization.

The Chilean site was successfully launched and is now used as a reference tool by sales teams. It consolidates categorized product content, datasheets, and solution materials into a clear and accessible structure.

Learnings

This project highlighted the importance of designing from the user's perspective—even in complex, multi-region environments. It also showed how even partial rollouts can deliver practical value to teams in the field.
